 I encourage you to seek a way to serve within our church family.  Family is the key word in the relationships within any healthy church family. Being part of a family means taking an active part and contributing with our time and energy. Look at what your interests are and discover your spiritual gifts and then plug them in to serving within Highview Baptist Church.

 

    Start by working alongside others who are already serving. Offer to assist them and then ask questions about how to do things that might help or encourage others.  We learn by doing and listening. Our Heavenly Father put you here for a purpose and our church will not be "All He intends it to be until you are sharing your spiritual gifts and "Being the Church". 

 If you are not already attending Bible Fellowship class or the Sunday evening discipleship small group studies, let that be your starting point. Join the small group and start praying for the individuals in that group and then spread out and give your time and resources through relationships with others. God intends for our spiritual gifts to be invested in the lives of other people.  He gave everyone spiritual gifts so don't let yours go unused!
