Kicking Bear is an organization to get kids outside and involved in wildlife activities.  Friday June 13th and Saturday June 14th Kicking Bear One on One will hold an event at Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge near Sumner Missouri.  People will show up Friday from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.  Dinner will be at 6:00pm (FREE) games and activities all afternoon and evening (ie tug-of-war, kick ball, tag, etc.)  Evening will be a bonfire.  Camping overnight is voluntary.  If you are camping please bring your own camping gear (ie tent, sleeping bags, extra clothes, etc.)  Breakfast will be at 7:00am (FREE) and a non-denominational church service to follow.  Activities before lunch will be Shoygun, Archery, Demo turkey hunt, and Duck hunt, rock wall and Pellet guns.  Lunch will be provided (also FREE) by the American Royal Champion Bar-Be-Cue Team. After lunch we may go fishing.  Everyone will be gone by 5:00pm.  ALL are invited.  We encourage parents to bring kids outside their houshold.  This is a family event.  All children must have a chaperone at all times for safety.  To register or ask more questions call MDC at 646-6122.
